Off the beaten track slightly on a quiet, tucked away road between Sai Ying Pun and Kennedy Town is the Artisan Garden cafe. As the name suggests this cafe has a real bonus in the form of an outdoor seating area and really a wide ranging menu for breakfast and lunch options to suit all tastes and desires. It’s all about the flat white however…

I went in with such high hopes as I was greeted with a real indoor-outdoor experiences, plants everywhere and steps up to an outdoor patio round the back. The flat white was disappointing and didn’t match up to the high standards the environment and decoration had set. Slightly lacking in real flavour and tasted as if the milk and espresso had not infused properly together.  A second test is required to confirm whether this was a one off however as it stands the breakfast may be worth going in for over the coffee…

Deductions – 2 (cost and taste really weren’t up to standard)
