When I originally visited Happy Alley it was the only independent cafe in the Valley competing with the likes of Starbucks and Pacific Coffee. Since then and before this review was published, Feather & Bone opened up close by serving coffee taking away the ‘only’ option advantage Happy alley had to it. Saying that though I am happy to say Happy Alley still serve a better brew!

With a great outdoor, casual seating area this has become a hang out for Valliers and with the combination of a good coffee, nice panini’s and draft beer it’s onto a winner!

The flat white was one of those ‘good’ coffees. It didn’t scream intense barista skills or perfect infusion of flavours but it was a good coffee. Smooth, stable taste and just a good coffee. No frills. With the choice of chains (Starbucks, PCC) and now Feather & Bone available, Happy Alley is still the place to go for a trust worthy and enjoyable flat white hit.
