You are in beautiful Luang Prabang and inevitably exploring the old bamboo bridge down by the Maekok river’s edge. North of the bridge heading up stream Saffron Coffee has established a beautiful and popular rest stop to the bust night market streets and tourist traps of Luang Prabang. Using locally sourced beans and offering employment to a large barista staff, Saffron Coffee is the best coffee in Luang Prabang (opinion remember).

With two floor you can choose to sit inside, upstairs or out the front gazing down at the Maekok river whilst enjoying a vast range of coffee on offer. Apart from the clean, deep and smooth taste of Saffron’s flat white what really sets this cafe apart is the tasty breakfast options, baked goods and that extra additional thought gone into each customer purchase. Each coffee is accompanied by an information card which educates the recipient on everything that has gone into creating what they are about to consume.

What a fantastic coffee shop to find in Luang Prabang and deserves all the credit is gets. It’s building reputation is worthy. Taste, comfort, eating options, staff…everything clicked.
